Application

2, Medical potassium nitrate can be used to produce rifampicin. Rifampicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to rifamycin family. It has strong antibacterial effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and has curative effect on Gram-positive or negative bacteria and viruses. It is a red or dark red crystalline powder, insoluble in water. It is generally a capsule or tablet oral drug, which plays a synergistic role with other anti tuberculosis drugs and delays the production of drug-resistant strains. It is mainly used for the treatment of tuberculosis, meningitis and Staphylococcus aureus infection.
